Why-Bangladesh? Why-Now?

In Figures

Bangladesh has six urea fertiliser factories with annual production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes. Demand for fertilizer is booming to produce more agricultural products in Bangladesh, driven by the country's high economic growth rate, which reached a record 7% in fiscal 2017. MHI's first fertilizer production plant in Bangladesh was built in 1992, and continues to maintain a high operating rate. Along with the ability to meet demands of a rapidly growing economy, MHI specifically received this contract in recognition of its own CO₂ recovery technologies that both reduce the environmental load and enhance urea production. The new urea plant will ensure wider food safety and save foreign currency from being spent on imports of the soil nutrient, and create jobs. The new industrial policy has been developed in line with the government vision of becoming a middle income country by 2021. In addition the new policy will focus on increasing the industry's contribution to the GDP to 40 percent from existing 28 percent. Considering the staggering figures and facts CEMS-Global had to make the decision of oragnizing this event again for the 5th time this Year with the aim of bring everyone together so we can all help this industry with investments.
